Cameron Smith, of Stafford, died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 24, after battling rare genetic disorder Wolcott-Rallison Syndrome since he was an infant, his obituary says.

Cameron, born June 11, 2020, faced his challenges courageously and brought joy to so many people in his short three years of life, his family said.

"He had the biggest heart and unconditional love to give which was a pure reflection of the love he received," his obituary reads.

A GoFundMe launched for Cameron's parents had raised more than $31,000 as of Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Cameron is survived by his parents, Josh and Kara Smith; sisters Aubrey and Lilah; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog brother, Francois, according to his obituary.
